I have a complete set of parts, including a 24-row cooler and a thermo control valve. I've also test fitted it and know exactly where to put it in a GSR.

I'm selling it (never installed fully). You have to remove your air conditioning unless you get really creative.

-24 row oil cooler (never removed from box)
-Thermostatic control valve (has fittings and some hose installed, but never installed on car)
-Remote oil filter mount (mounted on car breifly but never used. Takes stock size oil filters.)
-Oil filter adaptor (replaces oil filter and has inlet and outlet, never installed)
-All the 1/2"NPT fitting needed. (Some are fitted into hose, some into thermovalve, some still loose)
-More than enough 1/2" ID hose to install everything (SAE rated hot oil hose. Rubber outside, SS reinforced internally)

I think I paid about $150 for all of this.

isn't there some room underneath the bumper? Can oil coolers be installed like intercoolers?

I am planning on getting an oil cooler at some point, but need to keep my A/C. What is it about your list of parts that keeps you from having A/C?

The install plan I was going for (I smashed the first cooler I tried to install and had to put my car back together w/o the oil cooler. Since I bought a replacement cooler, I decided not to install it.) placed the remote oil filter mount where the ac compressor is and the cooler and thermo valve where the condensor is.

Here are some pic of how far I got before aborting the project:

    oil cooler

The cooler could be mounted in front of the condensor, but it would be difficult. If you remove the windshield washer resevoir, you can put the filter mount and thermo valve in it's place. You could also put the filter mount and valve where the resonator box is.

Holden - I'm going turbo, so resonator box etc is gone. Keeping A/C. I'll look at my car tonight and see if I understand your thinking about placing the filter mount and valve where the resonator box is. Email me if your setup is still 4 sale.

    Thanks

Yeah. The thermo valve lets most (80%?) of the oil bypass the cooler until it reaches 180 (?) degrees. Then all the oil goes through the cooler.

Any reason you couldn't mount it horizontally on the bottom of the bay and if necessary run a little ducting?

Rocks puncturing your oil cooler wouldn't be too cool. It's made of relatively thin aluminum. I wrecked one just trying to remove a fitting from it.
